BBC's Top 100

Hi ladies and gents! I saw this posted on my friend Nancy’s Facebook page. (Nancy, join our blogging book club!) The BBC conducted a survey of the top 100 most beloved books. The BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the top 100. I’ve read 12, soon to be 13. (Thank goodness for Harry Potter for putting me above average.) Evidently, I have a lot of reading to catch up on! How many have you read???

  1. That's a fun list! How come Twilight wasn't on it? LOL. I've read Pride & Prejudice, Grapes of Wrath, The Great Gatsby, Matilda, and I saw The Christmas Carol play, The Princess Diaries movie, and Clueless, which was basically a modern day version of Emma, so I'm counting those as well.

  3. I've read 20 of the books listed. Jane Eyre will put me at 21. All those Ronald Dahl books helped up my score! I read all those in elementary school. They bring back fond memories, especially Matilda! And I've read four of the top five books. And really I've been meaning to read His Dark Materials ever since "The Golden Compass" movie came out. Heard the book was WAY better.

Heh, and you can totally tell that this is a British list by all the Terry Pratchett books that made the cut. And I actually own Good Omens! One of my favorites.
